Written by Michael Leissler

Dominican Republic TESOL is excited to announce that it has signed a collaboration agreement with New York State TESOL to form a knowledge and cooperation partnership for the benefit of the members of both institution.
The agreement, signed on March 14, during the celebration of TESOL International 2019 Annual Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, China, strengthens the mission and growth of both organizations. The associations have agreed to exchange published digital newsletters and publications, to publicize and/or distribute, to the best of their abilities, conference information, calls for proposals and other events and information, in newsletters, website, social media and mailing lists. Both organizations have also agreed that this mutual sharing of information will be at no cost to either party. They have also committed to cooperate in other areas as the opportunity arises, by separate mutual agreement

This cooperation agreement opens doors to provide Dominican English teachers professional development opportunities, to carry out bilateral professional exchange programs, to review opportunities to improve the teaching-learning English in the Dominican Republic and to help strengthen areas such as support systems for teaching work, educational policies and compliance with professional performance standards.
